Mohammadreza Mirzaei (b. 1986) is an Iranian photographer living in Santa Barbara. He obtained his MFA in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and now is a Ph.D. student in History of Art at UC Santa Barbara. Diverse books are published of his work, including ​What I don’t Have​ (Edizioni del Bradipo, 2013), ​Here Comes The Sun​ (University of Pennsylvania Common Press, 2014), ​Dialectics of Seeing​ (with Gordon Stillman, Blue Tiger, 2018) and Postcards (Blue Tiger, 2019).

As an art writer, Mirzaei’s writing is published in different magazines including Herfeh: Honarmand, Kaarnamaa, and Tandis. He was the founding editor of Dide Magazine, an online bilingual publication dedicated to contemporary Iranian photography, and also one of the jurors of Kassel Photobook Award in 2011.
